Our imitation bacon bits is a versatile product that you will be reaching for when you want to top off a nice green salad, casseroles, or a baked potato. These imitation bits are great to put in soups and top off deviled eggs. These bits are a great way to add a flavor to your food. These bits are easy to use and are a great way to add protein to your diet. This is a necessity for your long term food storage staples. This product is 100% cholesterol free, vegan, vegetarian and PHO's have been removed.
Packaging: This item is packed inside a Mylar bag and then that bag is put inside a 5-gallon pail. If your pail arrives "sucked in," this can be normal due to changes in elevation during transit. If this happens to your bucket simple open the seal to the lid to "reinflate" the pail, then put the lid back on. This will NOT shorten the shelf life of the product as it doesn't affect the Mylar bag and will still keep rodents out.
Shelf Life: Should be stored in cool dark place, optimum condition is 60 degrees or less for longer storage. Storing properly in our enameled cans and Super pail buckets, product may store 5-10 years.
Directions: Reconstituted imitation flavored bacon bits have a bacon-like flavor, aroma, and color. They resemble crisp chiplets of smoked bacon. Suggested uses include adding to vegetables, salads, casseroles, omelets and other egg dishes, hors d’oeuvres, cheese spreads, biscuits, salad dressings, snack dips, and soups.
Ingredients: Soy flour, soybean oil with TBHQ added to protect freshness, salt, less than 2% of hydrolyzed soy protein, yeast extract, natural smoke flavor, sunflower oil, sugar, dextrose, inactive dried yeast, caramel color, red #3, hydrolyzed vegetable protein (hydrolyzed soy and corn protein, salt), soy lecithin, natural flavor.
